Food Getaway: Kusina ni Aling Josie

Jaycee was bragging about this eat-all-you-can resto along St.Jude here in San Fernando where he and his colleagues dined. He was really in awe with how delish their food was and that it's so cheap. So of course,I was convinced to dine their and we chose to settle our super late lunch (at 3pm) at KUSINA last Sunday.

That's Jaycee! :p
cozy interiors

Since we arrived around 3pm, only the two of us were there. Also it's a Sunday, so maybe most people were inside the mall.

The place has a cool and cozy feel. The ambiance was really inviting. They also maintain the cleanliness of the place. The owner even played classical music while we're dining. Cool!

Arroz Valenciana (biringhe)

sweet and spicy mussels - my fave!

sinabawang gulay - pinakbet style (not sure how it is called)

Lomi, Kare-kare and adobo

desserts

All Photo courtesy of Jaycee's Iphone.
I didn't got the chance to take a picture of the soup (chicken sopas) and other viands like the veggies since some of the workers are moving the containers in and out, in and out. I got disoriented. haha..

I haven't tried biringhe not even once. It doesn't look appetizing to me. The sweet and spicy mussels are my fave since I always liked seafood. The pinakbet was not appetizing either but given that if it's hot, I'll give it a shot. Same with Lomi. Lomi is delicious when it's newly cooked. I tried kare-kare and adobo since the first was Jaycee's fave. I should be practicing already to make this dish perfectly.

For the dessert, they have sweetened camote and buko pandan jelly. I tried both and I prefer the latter. We got this for only P99.00 each. We stayed there for an hour and we made sure that we will not leave until we gae our tummies their well-deserved treatment. ^o^

Share any eat-all-you-can resto in mind. Happy eating! :)

  12. I'm glad you have a good experience. Me and my friends tried a P99 buffet here in Manila and we were disappointed. Some items were cooked well, some were too oily for my taste.
